H.R. 413
1/9/2009--Representative Dale Kidlee, Missouri.
Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2009 - Provides collective bargaining rights for public safety officers, i.e., police and firemen, employed by states or local governments.

A coincidence:  The day before I saw Linda Biamonte's web site where she criticized Frank LoBiondo for co-sponsoring H.R. 413, I dropped the survey you see below, in the mail.  Vote for me folks.   This questionnaire, like so many others, if it's ever returned by candidates, would either be checked one side all yes, or, one side all no.  Hey, this is 2010, the country is wobbling and we need winning candidates, who don't see things as Republicans being always right, or visa versa.  We especially don't need 16 year incumbents who pretend and/or  get bipartisanship all mixed up

I offer question #10 first.  It applies to H.R. 413, and this is my answer to the Navigation Button; Why Biondo.  Here's why me and not him.

10.  Will you oppose federal legislation that seeks to establish or mandate union monopoly bargaining standards on all state and local police officers as well as firefighters?

       Answer: Yes

Questions 1-9

1.  If elected, will you cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on legislation to repeal the provisions in federal laws which authorize compulsory union dues?

Answer: No               my expanded answer is, the question is loaded and it's divisive as written.  Co-sponsor??  Give me a break!

2.  Will you support repeal of existing federal laws which force employees to accept a union as their exclusive representative against their will?

Answer: No             my expanded answer.  Splitting hairs- going to far- seeking to undo what's already working just fine.

3.  Do you favor preservation of Section 14(B) of the Taft-Hartley Act, which authorizes state Right to Work laws?

      Answer: Yes.

4.  Will you oppose legislation that would punish or require the firing of employees who choose to work during a strike, and which would hand union officials the power to shut down businesses that refuse to force their employees to pay union dues?

      Answer:  Yes

5.  If elected, wlll you cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on legislation to end union officials' special immunity from prosecution presently enjoyed under the federal Hobbs Anti-Extortion statue?

Answer:  No              my expanded answer.  Same objection as question #2, plus we're taking your     word for it, and I don't have a staff yet to look for NUANCES.  Sorry, National Alliance.

6.  Will you oppose the forced unionization of federal, state, county and municipal employees?

     Answer:  Yes

7.  Will you oppose any revisions to federal labor law which impose new penalties on employees who resist attempts by union officials to impose compulsory unionism on their employees?

Answer:  Left blank    expanded answer.  Either I missed checking, or I thought I needed more information.  Seems like a "yes"

8.  Will you oppose legislation that seeks to impose a so-called "card check" procedure as a means of unionizing employees and/or seeks to strip workers of the right to vote on union contracts through binding arbitration?

Answer:  Yes               my expanded answer.  If my Republican opponent bothered filling out this questionnaire, I'm betting his union allies give him a pass on this one to vote "Yes"   The more likely scenario?  He didn't fill this out.

9.  Will you oppose so-called anti-double breasting legislation that has, as its primary goal, forced unionization of employees of construction companies?

Answer:  Yes                 my expanded answer.  When I think of New Jersey and construction in the same breath, I can't help think "Sopranos."  Just kidding, always trying to keep it light, good for the discussion. That expanded answer  by the way, wasn't on my submitted form.........but it's not so far fetched.  Thinking of July 23, 2009, Black Thursday in New Jersey
