How I Win. Rouse the Hispanic-Immigration Reform- Lobbyists in Washington. Last ditch try and
best idea yet (below) to get their attention. While I'm thinking about it- contact the Democratic
National Committee too. At this point, they've all stunk. I wish Hispanic groups would stop
sending me "immigration alert" texts TELLING to call my REPRESENTATIVE. Their insensitivity
is hurting my feelings- my rep. is Frank LoBiondo.
. Idea! Drive a car to a friend in need, instead of flying. Drive it over the border- into inhospitable
Mexico- and l leave it with a deliriously grateful Beto. I've done it before!
Update- In the news, 8/05/2010 Car Bombs. The latest tactic by the drug cartels. Just what I needed to hear. Not to make light, but I might need a red cross insignia saying this "gringo" is
neutral.
. . Preparations: With great fanfare, I auction my Trans Am and antique GMC Pick Up on Ebay.
Advertise-(annoy) above (Hispanic) groups in Washington about the auction.. Someone-
somewhere finally acknowledges an email- next, I show up on the radar of somebody important
(@ New York Times). Unconnected to that, two car hobbyists buy the cars. Use the
proceeds to buy a 2000 or newer, small, fuel efficient car which I will then drive with Jersey
plates into the war zone- MEXICO. 2000 or newer- because of some silly red tape- Mexican style.
. Step 4 Using said publicity ....because steps 1-2-3 are such sure bets.... try and raise $2000
dollars for expenses (from the undocumented community) or the same folks I might
represent next January. ( Note: Step, #4, will be the most difficult step of a potentially
very clever scheme.......that's unfortunate. Will continue working on leadership-organizational
skills- practicing with Hispanics. Look for a knock-out blow to anti-immigrant LoBiondo upon
return.)
. Take 100's of pictures while I'm in Mexico and post a new web site when I come back. Details
to be worked out and made public at appropriate time.
. I win! The shear audacity- some would call madness- reaches a tipping point and I'm
"discovered." My ideas (and my poise) triumph over the incumbents "namby-pamby ways.

Cheryl Elizabeth Assaf?@ Gary, "you folks"? I thought we were all Americans and as such had the best interests of our nation at heart, or should. I don't see how letting people jump the line(not screened for health and illegal behavior as others are) and force people who apply legally to come here to wait even longer is in the best interest of our country. It also is not in the best interest of our country to have anyone who wants to cross the border unscreened to just do it, not all the people making that rough and dangerous crossing are doing it to make a better life for their families, there are some who wish to do us harm. Finally, why is it okay that we allow big business and even small businesses to create a slave labor class? Many of the people who come here especially from overseas are forced into arduous work environments to pay off their slave-masters.See More

Gary Stein...... As far as my friend, who's tough as nails, or others, working to change things down there? Really, he's worried about his next warm meal, and if he was fortunate enough to have extra time like me- to run for office, as some kind of reform candidate- he's wind up DEAD. At least I'll survive my ordeal and can tell my grand kids, if I had them.

Gary Stein Cheryl, by "folks" I'm using slang to refer to Republicans,
of which, I was until a few months ago. I've been jabbering about
Mexico for almost 3 years now............... and I'm for SECURING THE BORDER.

Frank Vergara ?@Gary: Can you explain why the IRS is hiring thousands
of agents to enforce collection of taxes, while it seemingly has not
even a passing interest in the potential revenue from illegals? Doesn't
a significant pecentage of "remittances" represent uncollected tax

Gary Stein Frank, in one of these questionnaires I answered a question about the economy by sayin....".... On the other hand, I’m not just about criticizing, I have proposals. If I could wave a magic wand and be F.D.R. for a day (with a little Ronald Reagan mixed in) the tax coffers could simultaneously overflow, and there'd be money for much needed programs, like Universal Health Coverage. A "New Deal" a "Fair Deal?" Maybe, call it "What a Deal" First, we'd overhaul the entire public sector, and revamp the civil service code. We’d eliminate the I.R.S. from everyone's lives, except for those making more than, say half a million bucks a year...."
Frank VergaraGary, thanks...long answer, so I'll give it longer scrutiny lol. Meantime, I wonder why more FDR and less Reagan? Where did Reagan fail that FDR succeeded? Playin devil's advocate.
Also, universal social programs presuppose big government, which is why I oppose both. Why do we need universal anything? It would cost too much, and would only lead to waste and patronage politics, wouldn't you agree? Great Britain is experiencing buyers' remorse about universal health care as we speak...See More
